• 主题:Melatonin Aiding Lucid Dreams

All melatonin does is make your dreams more vivid, but that won't necessarily make it easier for you to LD. It does however make them much easier to remember.

Melatonin makes my dreams a lot more realistic-feeling. I remember them a lot better and usually they're a bit crazier than my normal dreams. I have had some luck with lucid dreaming on it but I believe it's because I was more aware in my dreams than usual.

one time i took a LOT of melatonin (30m or something stupid), just out of curiosity and the intention of having a WBTB LD. I took it around 3AM and had to wake up at 7 to turn in a job application. When I got back I got a solid 4 hours where I was in this weird state where I literally had full control over whether I was asleep or not and was completely lucid throughout the entire time. Every time I woke up and went back to sleep I started at this weird beach pier sort of place and then I could go anywhere from there...it was by far my most intense and easy to control LD, and it lasted 4 hours...very interesting.

I would not suggest taking that much of anything though, as I've noticed that even small amount of Melatonin helps a lot overall with LD'ing, and that this particular instance was brought on more by my sleep schedule and helped by the Melatonin...I don't think that does was at all necessary. =]
    you mean mg's? (milligrams)
im hit or miss with lucidity, but i notice that melatonin gives me very strange dreams, and i do fall asleep FAST
does diphenhydramine work similar to Dimenhydrinate (travel tabs)?  i find that stuff with melatonin, and its lights out
I'm tired of pussy footin' around with melatonin. Tonight, I'm shoving 10mg's up my butthole. See you fucks tomorrow!

ok, well...tbh I'm not sure...I know its relatively safe up to 60mg...but i also remember reading something weird about it a while back that made me re think taking doses in that amount all the time haha.
I used melatonin to help sleep but it never affected my dreams. I have had success with Gingko Bilbao to increase dream memory. It can help esp. if you are having LD but not remembering them.
Ummm 30mg is a VERY HIGH DOSE... You are supposed to take 2mg-6mg (usually 1-3 pills) to help aid sleep. If you are taking 5 times the max dose you will have some fucky experience. One time I took 4 pills 8mg and started sweating uncomfortably in my sheets. Be careful when high-dosing melatonin.
    Anxiously awaiting your results
Probably since 6 g would have serious consequences.
How much DPH do you take?
    please deliver results
Actually there is no known toxicity. People have taken ridiculously high doses (like whole bottles in the hopes of OD suicide) and came out fine.
That sounds AMAZING. Really, really cool.
I was instructed to load on melatonin for a week (dbl) then single doses when needed.  It's supposed to work as well as it can, that way.
You need to take high dose melatonin in the middle of the night otherwise it doesn't work because of it's short half-life.
Seems like a lot to me. I only usually take 1mg on average, 2mg if I really need to fall asleep, 3mg if I really need to sleep and I've had caffeine in the past few hours.
    It should be noted:

**Melatonin is not a dietary supplement.**

(Ok, technically, it may be called one by the FDA, but it's not really a supplement like vitamins or essential oils.)

Melatonin is a hormone that your body produces naturally as part of the sleep cycle. One one hand, that's a good thing. It means that it's quite safe, even in large doses. It's also great because it gives you "manual" control of a natural cycle in your body. It can work wonders for jet-lag.

On the other hand, it means that it can really fuck with your natural sleep cycle. If you start to build a resistance or reliance on it, it can be quite hard to go back to natural sleep. And if you abuse it, it can really fuck with your sleep cycle. If you're gonna take a ridiculously large dose for the lulz, at least wait until the weekend to do it.
I did this during a time when i was very open to experimenting with a lot of different drugs...i wouldnt do a dose like this now. Just thought I would share my experiences. =]
I work crazy schedules and take Melatonin to help me get to sleep (especially after working a night shift and then have to turn around and immediately work a day). When I DO take it I have awesome, vivid, page and a half typed dreams that three hours after waking up are just as clear as when I first wake. Without it I have dream fragments that I remember for a few moments and forget. That having been said, while once in a while I will have a moment where I think I'm dreaming I've never been totally lucid in my dreams.
Thomas Yuschak's Advanced Lucid Dreaming really explores how various supplements affect lucid dreaming. It is a great resource.
Melatonin itself does not aid LD in significant way. All it does is to suppress REM sleep when it is in effect. This results in a few hours of deep sleep without much REM to occur. After its effect wanes, you begin to receive more and longer REMs due to the REM-Rebound effect. This gives you better chance to LD and perhaps longer LD. Use Melatonin to create more REM later, then use galantamine and Alpha-GPC or Choline Bitartrate to actually induce LD.
Ok. Here are results: I pussed out on going through the anus. Looks like I can't change my username to Melatonin_In_My_Anus after all. HOWEVER, I did some experimentation as to the regular use of melatonin. I am only an amateur oneironaut, but use of these drugs seems to make dreams much more intense and vivid. I did, however, have trouble going lucid. Lucidity was finally attained on night two by taking another melatonin at around 4am when I (naturally) woke up from another dream. I simply made a mental note of common dream themes and thought "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming" as I dosed back off.
interesting and thats for delivering :)
