主题:Frustrated And Ready To Give Up On LdI've been on this subreddit for awhile now id say atleast a year and a half and I used to keep a dream journal on my iPod that has over 20 entries. I can recall my dreams very vividly yet I can't become lucid. I've tried reality checks of looking at my watch periodically throughout the day whenever k can remember to do one but I never see/notice my watch in my dreams. I've tried WBTB and MILD with no luck. Last night I woke up at 4 and tried to WILD, felt my body go numb, yet I was completely conscious. It seemed like I just layed there for about 40 mins and when I checked the clock it was 630 and it was light out. This really frustrated me and I can never get past the hypnogogic images. I've heard SSILD works but I'm just so annoyed at this point I'm thinking of giving up.
Don't give up!!! If you do you'll never be able to fly or shoot fireballs out of your hands:) I know its tough, hell I haven't been able to either, but keep tryin man, you'll get it eventually. Try a different RC, I hear using a reminder or object weakens the effect, you should try just taking a step back and noticing your surroundings, try to move something with your mind maybe. As for wild, try daytime naps!! I think your chances are better there.
Whatever you do man keep at it. I think the rewards will far outweigh all this bullshit of figuring out how to do it.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I do suggest you give SSILD a try as that may indeed help you. Traditional LD techniques **can** be time-consuming and, frustrating at times because the success to effort ratio is simply too low. SSILD is designed to counter this problem. It is relaxed (doesn't even require you to stay still), takes little time (5-15 minutes max) to perform, and has a high success rate. How soon you can master it may be different from person to person, but at least it won't demand a lot from you.
