  • I have this problem  every time i wake in the middle of the night i'm afraid i wont go back to sleep this is a big problem for me not just for SSILD but for recording dreams as well and i have the most vivid dreams around the 6th hour which is perfect for SSILD and i will practice SSILD more often if i could go  to  sleep faster and i know i do SSILD correctly or at least close to it because i'm very sleepy when i do it sometimes i even forget about the cycles my last successes took me around 20 min to go to sleep maybe more, any tips ? for going to sleep faster and recording dreams in the middle of the night ?  Also i use SSILD for relaxation when im sleepy in the afternoon or when i get back from collage even tho i don't really fall a sleep i feel rested when i get out of bed    
    In such case I suggest not to get up at all. Simply perform 3 SSILD cycles every time you wake up, then allow yourself to drift to sleep quickly. Each attempt will deepen the effect and eventually make LDs/FAs to occur. Also watch out for strange sensations as you do this. It is quite possible to induce WILD this way.  
    Thanks but that's pretty hard because i have to go to the bathroom every time i wake up that's how i wake up without an alarm but still i will try your way too see if i will fall sleep faster  
    I did an experiment today  i woke up after my 7th hour of sleep and decided to try my luck but i was afraid i would wake up so i did 6 quick cycles i had a semi lucid dream what i mean is i was recalling my last two dreams in my dream ! and not only that i realized when i was dreaming at the end of my dream but it was too late this is good because i could try (DEILD) this way  tomorrow or the day after tomorrow i'm gonna make the full technique lets see what happens  
    In which case you should simply return to bed right away while still drowsy. Do only a few quick cycles and one or two long cycles. Stay in a comfortable position. Do perform the dream entry techniques upon each awakenings first though. It's likely many of the subsequent awakenings will be either FAs or the more intricate kind of awakenings that can be easily utilized.  
    Thanks i will do that next time didn't see your post  i did it today the one like the tutorial but i lost sleep i had only 4 and a half hours of sleep but i couldn't sleep not only that but i went to bed 2 hours after i was awake and did the technique again still nothing the funny thing is i was on the edge of  falling a sleep but still nothing i event counted with deep breaths i lost count around 15 and still nothing next time i will try in a few days to see what happens thanks for the tips
