• 主题:What Is This, And Can I Use It
  • Basically, when transitioning from dreaming to being awake, there is this blank period (for lack of a better term) where I don't feel my waking body and I don't feel my dream body, but I'm aware of the blank period. while in this period I always know that if I just "do this" then I'll wake up, and because my mind isn't very clear I end up "doing this". "This" is usually stretching, which then after stretching, my eyes open and I can feel my body again and I'm awake. Is there anything I can do with this blank period to induce a lucid dream? Is there any existing method using this blank period or even a name for it?
I think if you focus on a specific place or something like visualization you'll end up in a lucid dream, give it a try. I think maybe the blank period is Sleep paralysis but im not so sure can you move your body in that blank period?
I believe I know what type of blank period you are referring too. When you are in the blank period try to fly or run. Tell me what happens after you do that.
It's a very subtle state of mind that borders on real awakening. Slight shift in focus will result in waking in real life, or the other side -- dream. This state can be observed frequently with training, and can be utilized for extremely rapid dream entry. It is one of the most fascinating state of the mind. No, it's not an FA, by the way. But it can be easily extended into one.
What you're describing sounds like the transition from REM sleep to a shallower state. If this is toward the end of your sleep, there might be another REM period along in short order (it'll generally be somewhat longer earlier in the night) If you have any practice at WILD, you should be able to carry on from this half-way point of a WILD - i.e. *don't* stretch, just wait for the next REM cycle to start and you're in an LD!

On the other hand, it's difficult to muster the presence of mind for this :-P
