• 主题:Wild Help Appreciated Ld4All
  • I've been trying wild for some time now.  The thing is, I don't think I've ever actually gotten into sleep paralysis.  After some time of laying in bed my body starts to feel numb but it doesn't come in vibrational waves.  Also, I can still move at this point.  My vision feels like its coming from the center of my head instead of my eyes and I have a weird perception of my body.  I think that I might be too mentally awake.  I have yet to experience any hypnogogic imagery or anything.  If anyone could give me some help on just getting to sleep paralysis, that would be great.  I think I'll be able to get wild down after that step.

Current LD goal(s): Create a song in a dream and bring it into the real world.
Yeah, you're probably right about being too mentally awake. The key is to be able to let yourself drift off, while keeping little alertness.

I think what would help you is to get yourself really tired before bed and try it, usually it works with me because I tend to have a pretty active brain attempting WILD as well. Being tired will stop you from being too awake, and your body is pretty much trying to get it's rest, so the process should come quickly.

    Hope this helps

@StarryGwee summed it pretty well. I'll add my two cents here.

First off, SP usually happens upon waking up. Entering SP intentionally from a waking state is not always easy to do. Let's face it, in a sleep cycle you usually starts with NREM-1 and NREM-2. These are stages were your body is not yet fully shut down!

IMO, a lot of the time when we LDers say SP, we are not really talking about the authentic SP. What we experience is mind/body separation, which feels like SP but in a strict sense it is not.
I can now reliably get to where you do most nights, tingling, heartbeat up, but no images, sounds and I can still move. However, since I started being able to do that, I don't seem to be able to wake up in a dream anymore, or do WBTB.
